What Are Your Day Spa Preferences?

Now that you know what you can expect from a day spa, the next step is deciding which services you want. Prioritize services according to your preferences and then start making calls.

Narrowing Down Your Day Spa Choices

Although the telephone is a wonderful invention, the best way to choose a day spa is to walk in to make your appointment. If you feel uncomfortable then, chances are you’ll have a less than pleasant spa experience.

In addition to finding out about day spa amenities and treatments, also ask questions on the practical side.
  • True day spas take a short medical history to ensure that any conditions you have and/or prescriptions you take won’t interfere with the treatments you’ve selected. Ask what information you’ll need to bring and how much ahead of time you should arrive before your first day spa visit.
  • Of course, it would be wonderful if money wasn’t added into the mix, but since it is, do have a budget in mind and don’t be afraid to ask for prices of treatment packages, a la carte services, and suggested day spa gratuities.
  • What is the spa’s cancellation policy?
  • Do their hours fit into your time frame?
  • Unless you plan to spend the whole day, ask for an estimate of how long your visit should last. You may also want to know how long between treatments (such as massage and manicure) you’ll have to wait.
Have you ever come home from a vacation and needed a vacation?

Consider a day spa visit a mini-vacation. Knowing what you want and what to expect from your day spa visit helps you to relax and enjoy a short break in your everyday routine.
