Eye Work for Hard-Working Eyes

Is it any wonder that the eye is the first area of your body to show signs of aging? From the time you awaken until your head hits the pillow at night, your eyes are hard at work.

Our eyes protect us, inform us, and express us. Our eyes narrow in displeasure, squint in bright light, and crinkle with our smiles. In the meantime, they blink 10,000 times a day in an effort to rejuvenate and rehydrate themselves.

Unfortunately, the skin around our eyes doesn't benefit from all this eye exercise! Because of low blood and lymphatic circulation, the eye area is the first part of our bodies to show aging. Crows feet, dark circles, and eye puffiness present a distorted vision of our appearance to those whom we meet eye-to-eye! Luckily, modern eye work helps us put our appearance back into focus with a variety of treatments that range from brow and lash tinting to laser resurfacing and new eye work technologies that put crow's feet to flight.

Eye Treatment Treats

Brow and lash tinting is especially recommended for fair-haired individuals who want to add a little emphasis to their eye area. For sensitive eyes, lash tinting erases the problem of sensitivity to mascara. In fact, eyelash tinting obliterates the problem of mascara chunks falling into your eye and the all-too frequent incidence of the mascara wand jabbing the eye surface.

Eyelash extensions are a semi-permanent solution to short lashes, lash loss due to age, or broken lashes. Most often in brown or black, eyelash extensions are usually one-half to one third longer than your natural lashes. Better quality eyelash extensions are water-resistant and last from six to eight weeks. Your eyelashes are soft and luxurious all day, wet or dry.

Permanent eye makeup applications are pigment implementations that offer a number of benefits.
  • Professionally applied permanent eyebrows have the correct arch, length, and width for your face and your look
  • No more squinting into the mirror to apply eyeliner
  • No more worry about over-sensitivity or allergic reactions to eyeliner cosmetics or clogging tear ducts with over zealous eyeliner applications
  • No more eyeliner smudges. Your eyes look great in or out of the water, tears or smiles!

Restoring Eye Beauty

Along with the eye treatments above that enhance your eyes and solve eye beauty problems, modern spas offer a variety of eye work treatments that restore eyes to their natural beauty.
  • Eye masque treatments help remove dark circles and eliminate eye puffiness. In addition, they can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and crows feet that are less than desirable ways to bring focus to your eyes.
  • Collagen eye work is another eye treatment that smoothes away wrinkles by rehydrating the skin around the eyes and rejuvenating aging skin.
  • Lymphobiology® is an extremely relaxing treatment that nourishes the eye contour and minimizes eye-puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines.
  • Myotonology® is a patented, non-invasive, electronic treatment that restores skin tone, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles and increases circulation in the treated area.
  • Chemical peels and laser resurfacing are two additional spa eye treatments that help remove dark circles and fine lines around the eye.
Caution: Of course, procedures like laser-resurfacing, lymphobiology, collagen injections, and myotonolgy must be performed by a qualified professional! However, although some of the eye treatments above can be purchased in kits and applications for at-home eye work, eyes are very sensitive. Unless you have a very sure hand, all eye treatments are best provided by a certified spa practitioner or licensed healthcare provider.
